hi, ive just brought and fitted a chrome rocker cover to my 92` cooper, but when i started it up i heard and saw through the oil filler cap that the rockers are hitting the rocker cover? any suggestions? ideas? anyone?

errr, im not sure, and im not with the mini atm, but all i know is that its a 1.3i and i think the engine code is 12a ???????

ok next time you're on it look at the head, there should be a stamp on it with a 5 digit number. If you can find it let us know.

the only number i could find was just behind the thermostat housing and was "10d2" ???
in reply about the 1.5 roller rockers, im not too hot on the engine stuff on the mini but i think i may have them as i got a 1275cc big bore engine????

at a guess you probably over tightened the rocker cover nuts easily done on them rocker covers
