Recently my car has gone through 3 different flasher units. Something, somehow keeps killing them and I can't work out what it is.
After each change it works for about an hour then I get the terrible buzzing sound and they just give up on me.
Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this??

Are you using the 3 pin style or the old metal can type?

No oddly enough they look and feel completely normal.
They're definately dead though cause we tried it in ashley's car afterwards and they buzz constantly.

you might want to ring mini menders they do a four pin relay. i got one from them that lets you put more of a load though it as i was towing a trailer behind my shorty stops burning out the relay as the old flasher goes like the clapers. all you had to do was fit a earth to the forth pin.
