Post  electricjim Sun Jul 11, 2010 12:56 pm

just thought id share what im upto.

as my mini is a pre 90's one i have had to cut holes where rover put them 130mm.
once i did this i made up a two layer shelf 9mm and 12mm this distances it enough that 17cm speakers can fit with out a problem the 12mm layer sits above the speakers so the speaker fabric can lay across the whole lot with out any sign of the extra sounds Smile.

ah thats the beauty of it you wont see a thing Very Happy. ive got a 3rd led brake light to go on it also, i thought it a good idea as so many people seem to be getting rear ended. I have noticed alot of drivers sit right up the arse of minis too close to see any of the lights anyway.

dunno if any one is interested but i cut enough wood for another stealth shelf unfinished of course, would part with it for a small donation to the mini fund Very Happy

yeah good idea, its not fun being rear ended, but i dont think an extra light will stop some drivers, some people are just blind Cool
