brake lights/indicators not working

i've always had a problem with my indicators giving up on me but the past week i have realised that my brake lights are sometimes not working either. Now it seems (but i'm not 100% sure) that the indicators and brake lights stop working at the same time. I've checked all the fuses and they seem fine. This isn't a permenant problem as they will start working again for a bit and then suddenly stop working again. I'm getting really frustrated with this and worried about driving just incase someone crashes into me now =[

Anyone got any ideas?!?

might be a loose ground connection. could be a loose pin in fuse box

Well im no brain surgent..
But it sounds to me like its something to do with either the indicators or the brake lights..
Just a thought..

dodgy connection somewhere

try replacing some fuses you can't always tell from looking at them

brake switch on the pedal

remember there are in-line fuses as well as the ones in the fuse box
