What should my timing be Empty What should my timing be

    Post  duds_12 Sat Nov 13, 2010 1:26 pm

I have recently changed my engine for a metro engine, the engine number is 12h907aa
    a metro a+ 1275

i'm unsure which dizzy i have in it but i no longer have points as i've bought an
    electronic ignition kit off ebay

every thing else is standard (cam, rockers etc)

so my question is what ° btdc should my timing be at?

currently it's 13° btdc and i'm not sure where i got that from

    please someone help

do it by ear.undo the dizzy and turn the dizzy to the left till you hear it hunting then turn it to the right till it hunts turn back to the middle then you will hear the revs pick up slighty and even out then lock the dizzy then you should be spot on.
